A prominent example of this philosophy is the development of advanced calibration software designed to validate digital cognitive biomarkers against traditional paper-based clinical metrics.
In the medical and cognitive domain, human capabilities are the most critical assets to protect. The deployment of mobile-based cognitive assessments, such as digital variants of the Symbol Digit Modalities Test and the Trail Making Test, offers unprecedented granularity in tracking spatiotemporal interactions, mechanical pressure, and cognitive processing speeds. However, the true value of these digital insights is only unlocked when they are bound to the historical validation of paper-based gold standards, as figured out in the Subproject 1, WP3.
