«Generative AI: The convenient assistant for research» seminar
📅 January 12th, 2026
📍 Online (Zoom)
On January 12th, DIGEST held the newest session of our Coordinated PhD Seminars: «Generative AI: The convenient assistant for research.»
During the seminar, we explored both the capabilities and limitations of AI in academic contexts. Participants saw live demonstrations of its practical applications, both in qualitative and quantitative research. We also highlighted critical considerations, including those related to rigor, ethics, reproducibility, and responsible use—all key to using using AI effectively in an academic environment.
We thank everyone who joined and contributed to the event. Special thanks to Joaquín Ordieres-Meré for the presentation, and to Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and Universidad de Sevilla for their support in organizing this session as part of our ongoing seminar series.
At DIGEST, we are committed to applied training that complements traditional doctoral programs with advanced skills in digital research and industrial optimization.
