We invite authors to submit papers for publication in Volume 5 of the Engineering Asset Management Review (EAMR) Springer Book Series.
Dear friends and colleagues, we are pleased to announce the start of the fifth volume of the EAMR book series, published by Springer. We encourage you to participate as chapter authors. The guest editors, Antonio Sánchez (antoniosh@us.es) and Aitor Goti (aitor.goti@deusto.es), can provide additional information.
This new publication, ‘Digital Maintenance and Asset Digitalisation,’ explores the latest developments in how industries leverage digital technologies to optimise asset management strategies. It will delve into integrating cutting-edge tools such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), Digital Twins, and advanced analytics to optimise maintenance operations, increase asset reliability, and drive efficiency.
The intended structure of the book contains a combination of theoretical perspectives and case studies, including real applications from various industries. This book aims to take a holistic approach to digital maintenance, providing practitioners with the knowledge they need to implement digital solutions effectively. Whether for engineers, asset managers or business leaders, this book will be a valuable guide to address digital transformation in asset-intensive industries.
The potential list of chapters includes four sections:
• Foundations of Digital Maintenance and Asset Digitalization.
• Key Technologies Driving Digital Maintenance.
• Applications and Case Studies.
• Future Perspectives and Strategies.
In addition, this volume is closely linked to the recently established European Security, Reliability and Data Association’s (ESREDA) Digital Maintenance and Asset Digitalisation Working Group. This group will be key in selecting and editing the book, ensuring its content reflects the latest trends, challenges, and research developments.
Publications of approximately 20 pages should be submitted via the Meteor platform for peer review by 15 June.
