MadridTech 2025: AI, Optimization & Digitalization International Workshop

MadridTech 2025

MadridTech 2025 was a dynamic and forward-looking workshop that brought together researchers, practitioners, and industry experts from a range of institutions to explore cutting-edge developments in advanced scheduling and asset management. Held under the auspices of the DIGEST research project, the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, and with the support from the Universidad de Sevilla, the ICSO group (Intelligent Computing & Systems Optimization) and baobab soluciones, the event served as a collaborative forum where ideas converged from multiple disciplines—spanning artificial intelligence, operations research, digital engineering, and systems optimization.

Rather than being a conventional conference, MadridTech 2025 focused on fostering deep discussions around real-world challenges and emerging solutions. Participants shared their latest findings, tools, and case studies related to the optimization of industrial processes, particularly in environments where uncertainty, complexity, and time-critical decisions are the norm. Topics such as real-time scheduling, predictive maintenance, intelligent resource allocation, and data-driven asset management were at the core of the exchanges.

A distinctive feature of MadridTech 2025 was its emphasis on integration—bringing together theoretical innovation and practical deployment. Attendees included academics, engineers, and technology developers, all eager to explore how new methods could be translated into industrial value. The discussions often circled around how artificial intelligence can support decision-making processes in highly dynamic contexts, and how digital transformation is redefining the way companies manage their operations and assets.

MadridTech 2025 also reinforced the importance of collaboration across institutions and sectors. By encouraging open dialogue and sharing diverse perspectives, the workshop helped build a stronger foundation for future joint research and innovation. As industries continue to face increasing pressure to operate more efficiently and sustainably, the ideas and connections formed during MadridTech 2025 are expected to have a lasting impact.

The outcomes of the workshop highlight the power of multidisciplinary engagement in addressing the evolving challenges of Industry 4.0. More about the event, its participants, and its outcomes can be found at MadridTech 2025.
