Digitalization and optimization in the planning of aeronautical assembly lines

The paper «Large Neighborhood Search for an Aeronautical Assembly Line Time-Constrained Scheduling Problem with Multiple Modes and a Resource Leveling Objective»  addresses one of these challenges: the efficient scheduling of assembly lines under time and resource constraints. The study proposes the use of three approaches: MILP, constraint programming, and a variant of the heuristic LNS (Large Neighborhood Search) to tackle complex scheduling problems that include multiple operations modes and resources leveling objectives.
