Information: From July 3rd to 5th, 2024, Lisbon hosted the first Ibero-American Congress on Engineering Asset Management (CONGREGA 2024), which was also the second Portuguese Congress on Engineering and Asset Management. The event brought together over 300 participants from Portuguese and Spanish-speaking countries and communities in Europe, the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Oceania.
Under the central theme of «Sustainable and Digital Innovation in Engineering Asset Management,» the congress promoted excellence in the management of engineering assets. Discussions focused on innovative practices in the management of infrastructures, equipment, machinery, and installations that are essential for services such as transportation, food, water, energy, communications, health, and safety.
The event facilitated collaboration between industry and academia, focusing on challenges related to investment planning, maintenance and operation strategies, and end-of-life management of assets, with the aim of maximizing the value generated by these engineering assets.
Additionally, the importance of sustainable and digital innovation in engineering asset management was highlighted, promoting the adoption of advanced technologies and sustainable practices in the sector.
Abstracts may be submitted in English, Spanish, or Portuguese. The conference focuses on sustainability, digitalization, innovation, and asset management. Accepted abstracts will be published by Springer and Ponteditora, both indexed in Scopus. The conference is a collaborative effort involving universities, companies, public organizations, research centers, and civil society representatives, with the central theme of «Sustainable and Digital Investment in Engineering Asset Management.»
